We launched Thatsup, which was then called WhatsupSthlm, in 2008. Today Thatsup is Sweden’s largest restaurant and lifestyle guide with more than half a million unique users every month. Thatsup helps you find the city’s very best hidden gems, whether you’re looking for restaurants, hotels, activities or something else. Our editorial team works hard to find and share the city’s best places and events. Alongside them, the Thatsup community contributes by sharing their best places through reviews, lists and much more
Just a few years after we started Thatsup we noticed that websites were a recurring problem for many local businesses. The idea of helping them with this problem was hatched back then. But, as always when we do things, we want to do them to the highest possible standard and we didn’t have the resources at that stage.
Having worked with local businesses for more than ten years, we’ve learned everything we need to know about what’s required of a good website. We also have all the expertise we need in-house now: web developers, designers, photographers, editors, analysis and support.
It took ten years before the organisation was large and experienced enough to put our swords in the dirt and begin developing the concept. In summer 2019 we launched Thatsup Web. The response has been unbelievably positive, both from new and existing customers, and we’re looking forward to contributing to the branch’s increased online presence over this new decade
